Fun in the jungle

Nathan managed first first roll over this week although we didn't actually see it due to watching Fred Clause on telly!! He hasn't done a repeat performance yet and we think he may have cheated by using the legs of his play gym to push off. He also managed to put his leg through one of the toys hanging from the gym but this didn't seem to bother him much, he also has a habit of wearing his bib as a cape .....

Christmas

All in all a good day had I think, far too much food but amazingly there still seems to be lots of wine left - not sure what happened there. For those who were running a book Dad was asleep by 3.30pm, closely followed by Jean a short while later. Dad managed to wake himself up in time pudding though. Lesley and George left relatively early as they were travelling down to Leeds today and the rest of us ended up in our beds by 10.30pm! Here's a couple of pictures from the days festivities........

I think there are too many pressies to go under the tree, and that's before Lesley and George turned up with the same amount again!

Daddy helps Nathan open his pressies

Grandad gets some cuddles

Boxing Day and Nathan gets stuck into all his new toys and gifts

We declined from going to the boxing day sales today and finished tidying up from yesterday before getting out Nathan's pressies and removing the mounds of packaging around them and trying to find home for them!

Michaels Christening

Sunday was Chris's cousins son's christening. It gave us an excuse to get dressed up so we got Nathan a wee outfit to match his daddy.

Uncle Pete and Aunty Sara came up for it too so they got a chance to see their nephew

Getting ready for Christmas

Nathan quite enjoys the Christmas tree and so far has managed to pull off the bottom layer of tinsel and 3 baubles.

I couldn't resist the urge to dress Nathan up for the festive season (yes the entire month of December!)

Winter has arrived

Our street is one of the only ones not cleared or gritted by the council, getting in the drive was slightly difficult today. The cats still managed to get out and play though and Gizmo even caught his lunch! Chris had to clear the greenhouse roof to stop it caving in under the weight of the snow

Christmas Festivities in Whitley Bay

We spent last weekend down at mum and dads to introduce Nathan to his Great Aunties and Uncles and to do the annual Christmas exchange trip! Nathan wonders what he has let himself in for as the gang arrive...

Aunty Sally waited for a good 3 minutes before diving in for a cuddle

Closely followed by Aunty Miriam

The battle then commenced for who got him again Aunty Sally wins by swiftly elbowing Miriam in the chest!! (well OK maybe not)

Chris and I sneak in a few cuddles before Ann and Jimmy turn up for tea.

After a long day (and some wine in Grandads case!) the boys take a nap on the sofa......

While we were in the area we picked Nathan up a bargain eBay pressie for when he's a little older but let him try it out now for size.....

We headed back on Monday lunch time stopping in Berwick for afternoon tea on the way back. When we got home the cats welcome us back in their own special way......

So far this week the cats are taking the lead in the hunting stakes - Cats 4 Birds 0

All in all a good weekend had.

Hot baby!

The latest lot of jabs has taken it's toll on the wee man and he's been running a temperature. He looks so sorry for himself the poor wee cherub. Hopefully he'll be back to normal for his trip down south at the weekend.
