Nathan's Birthday

Despite the rain we still had Nathan's (and daddy's) birthday BBQ bash. It did mean though we couldn't put the bouncy castle up or give Nathan his bike to play on but he had lots of other things to amuse him and people to bug! I tried to get some pics of Nathan and Aimee in their party outfits before they got messy.

We opened Nathan's pressies on the Sunday so both mummy and daddy could see him enjoy them.

A big thank you to everyone for helping us celebrate his birthday and thank you to everyone who sent birthday wishes, cards and pressies for him. Daddy still has to make Nathan's new play hut for the garden so lets hope for some good weather soon.

My new toys

We got some new kitchen toys today. Unfortunately the freezer side of the fridge freezer is a bit bashed and scratched due to the heavy handed delivery men so we'll need to see about replacing it. It also appears that I need to go shopping as the fridge looks empty, strange to think that that would have filled up the old fridge!

Nathan's new room

A thought I finally get round to putting pictures of Nathan's room up! Last night he slept in his cot without the side bar on and he slept the whole night in it without getting out. I don't know if it'll continue like that but we'll give it a week then move him to the big bed next weekend if all goes well. Fingers crossed!

Vinnie's Christening

Last weekend we were down in Halifax for our nephew Vinnie's christening. We stopped by Whitley Bay overnight on the Friday to say hi to grandma and grandad then headed to just outside Halifax to stay at the hotel where the christening was being held. The hosts were a bit mental but lovely and gave us a two bed house for me Chris and the kiddies, rather than the two rooms we'd booked so that was a good start. The weekend was hectic, by the time we'd arrived on sat teatime there wasn't time for much other than unpacking a a nice pub tea. Sunday was the christening so it was an early start to get everyone ready before heading to the church. Nathan looked very cute in his new kilt but unfortunately I didn't get any good pictures. Aimee sported a fancy flowery dress that was supper slidey to hold! By all accounts the day went well bare the usual drunken antics! On the Monday we went back by Harrogate but the weather was fairly rubbish so we didn't stop long. Here's a few pictures of the weekend.......

I've been trying hairbands on Aimee but all the shop bought ones have been too big, so I've found a few knitting and crochet patterns and made the first one tonight. Looks rather cute so hopefully we 'll get a few more made. Might alter this one a wee bit but not bad for a first attempt.

Weigh-in

Aimee got her last lot of jabs until she's 1 today. Fair to say she 'screamed like a girl'! Got her weighed and she's coming in at 5.59 kg (12lb5oz).
